7/11/00 The 1999 season standings and stats have been archived. Enjoy! For the 1998 season, I'm afraid that I may have lost the 1998 team stats. However, you can still view the 1998 standings, transactions, and draft. ---------- 7/5/00 I finally updated my baseball web site so that it now links to our 2000 season stats, provided by Rotonews.com. I will eventually make the 1998 and 1999 season stats available for viewing, for those of you who want to look at stats from past seasons. ---------- 3/24/98 RULE CHANGE: Sorry to spring this on you guys with one week to go before the start of the season, but it is best if I establish some better rules regarding position eligiblity for players that don't have an established position based on last year's stats. So, for these players, they will be granted temporary position eligibility based on projections from magazines and newspapers. But, as soon as that player starts his 20th game at one position, he will only qualify at that position. In the event that a player loses eligibility at a position and ends up in an illegal roster spot, that player will be suspended. A suspended player will not accumulate any stats. And the team with a supended player will not be allowed to make any transactions unless it is transaction that makes the team roster legal again. ---------- 3/23/98 If you don't get your franchise fees to Brian Ong by the start of the season, you will not get stats. You will basically begin your season with your entire team inactive. ---------- 2/28/98 It sounds like there's a few different interpretations to the draft procedures. I'm sorry about that; the format was new to this year and has been untested. What I intended was for the cutoff time to occur at midnight! So I wanted people's picks in before 12 so that I could see picks and send out a final update before I headed off to bed. OK, from now on, midnight is the cutoff time. If the guy before you does not make his pick, please submit a wish list to me and I will sort it out. Because anyone in the group who doesn't send their picks in before midnight of their scheduled day will be skipped (same applies for the 4PM deadline). I guess people were interpretting that between midnight and 8AM is "dead time." This is not the case. I erred in setting up an 8am start time. Please ignore that because I really want people to submit picks ahead of schedule if they can. ---------- 2/15/98 PLAY BALL! The 1998 Rotisserie Baseball season is under way.
